Sandwich woman gets six years for cocaine sale

A 29-year Sandwich woman was sentenced to prison for selling cocaine to undercover officers.

Laura Hines, of the 600 block of Bluebird Circle, was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, according to the Kendall County state’s attorney’s office. Prosecutors said Hines delivered cocaine to officers twice, including selling 25 grams in June 2010.

Hines has been in custody since she was arrested by the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team in August. Hines will be required to serve three years probation after she is released from prison.

Aurora

Marisol Santini, 28, 0-99 block of Light Road, Oswego, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of North Lake Street, police said.

Alberto Ramirez, 25, 500 block of Fifth Avenue, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving plus several misdemeanors at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday near Woodruff and Superior streets, police said.

Anton Garner, 33, 900 block of Tollview Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony aggravated domestic battery and misdemeanor domestic battery at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday in his home, police said.

Oswego

Jubari T. Tuggles, 20, of the 0 to 100 block of Fieldpoint Road, Montgomery, was charged Saturday with two counts of residential burglary in connection with a string of burglaries reported in the Churchill Club subdivision, Oswego police said. He also was charged with one count of forgery, a Class 3 felony, police said. His arrest came through an Oswego police investigation, assisted by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department and the United States Postal Service. The investigation is ongoing, Oswego police said.

A car trailer worth $3,500 was stolen from the 1000 block of Route 30 between June 11 and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

Plano

Maria T. Hernandez, 24, of the 500 block of West Rock Street, Plano, was injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident at Millbrook and Budd roads, the Kendall County sheriff’s office said. She was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center. No condition information was available.
