In the garden: White can be bright

It may seem counterintuitive, but planting white flowers can add color to your garden. That’s because white provides a crisp contrast that amplifies the hues of surrounding flowers and foliage.

Yet whites don’t stop there. They can also serve as frothy fillers, bridging gaps between colors that might otherwise clash, such as bright orange and hot pink. They will enhance a cool, serene look when paired with gray or silvery foliage. And on their own, some of the larger whites step out of their supporting roles to become dominant players in the garden.

Annual whites

Introducing white can be as simple as buying a mixed pony pack of annuals, such as white, pink and purple petunias or white, pink, rose, yellow and purple moss rose.

Or mix and match your own by planting the same annual in white and at least one other color. That might be white and blue delphiniums or mealycup sage; white, yellow and purple statice; or white and lavender nemesia.

More complex schemes involve matching a white’s “eye,” or colored center, with the overall color of another flower. For example, you might plant white dwarf periwinkle with a red eye next to red annual salvia and flowering tobacco; or white Shasta daisy with a yellow eye next to a yellow marigold or Goldie bidens.

Edgings and mediators

These tidy plants work well to fill gaps, edge beds and soothe color conflicts.

White Whispers Mexican heather (Cuphea hyssopifolia ‘White Whispers’) is one of my favorite little whites to plant along the front of a border or lawn. It grows about 12 inches tall and 18 inches wide. Its tiny, star-shaped flowers sparkle against its fresh green foliage, which looks neat and clean year-round.

Snow Princess alyssum (Lobularia ‘Snow Princess’) is a fantastic, bouncy little edger. It’s sterile, so unlike traditional sweet alyssum that blooms only a few months, then gets weedy, Snow Princess just keeps going. It’s been blooming for two straight years in my garden and shows no sign of letting up.

Bacopa (Sutera cordata) and White Serbian bellflower (Campanula poscharskyana ‘Alba’) send out trailing stems dotted with pure white flowers. Each spreads at least 2 1⁄2 feet wide. White cranesbill (Erodium ‘Alba’) grows only a foot wide and forms ankle-high clumps of small, heart-shaped leaves topped by petite white, cup-shaped flowers.

In the shade, try long-blooming impatiens in white, or Biokovo geranium (Geranium cantabrigiense ‘Biokovo’), a perennial that bears white flowers with a touch of pink most of the year.

I almost have all the main ponies that are playing big roles in the new series. This tutorial is going to be on “ how to draw Fluttershy ", step by step. There is a variety of different types of ponies when it comes to Friendship is Magic. Fluttershy is what you all a Pegasus pony, which are nothing more than ponies with wings, speed, and agility. The symbol on her thigh is of three butterflies. Fluttershy is yellow in color with a pink mane and tail. One of the main reasons why she is named Fluttershy is because she loves taking photos of all her friends, and the other reason for her name is based on the fact that she is really shy. Originally she was released n 2003 and she even looked a bit different than what she looks like now. She was actually redesigned and made into a Pegasus pony. Another awesome trait with Fluttershy is how much she loves animals. She loves them so much; she has a pet rabbit named Angel. What makes the whole thing strange is how a pony owns a rabbit as a pet. I don’t know, it may be weird to me but cute and sweet to you.
