New faces and positions at Kenai Fjords Tours

Tammy Schuldt has joined CIRI Alaska Tourism as operations assistant for Kenai Fjords Tours.

Schuldt was raised in Seward and brings over 15 years of operational/managerial experience to the company.

And Geri Nipp has been promoted to marine passenger services manager at Kenai Fjords Tours.

Nipp started at Kenai Fjords Tours in 2001 in the accounting office and eventually moved into the groups office as the groups assistant. She recently completed her teaching degree at the University of Minnesota, when she was recruited back to Kenai Fjords Tours and accepted the groups Coordinator position, allowing her to return to Alaska.

Kenai Fjords Tours is an Alaska Native owned and operated company operated under the CIRI Alaska Tourism Corporation and owns and operates Alaska Heritage Tours, Kenai Fjords Tours, Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge, Prince William Sound Glacier Cruises, Seward Windsong Lodge and Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Nestled in a spectacular glacier river valley, the Seward Windsong Lodge is exceptional Seward Alaska lodging. Guest rooms for the Seward Windsong Lodge are spread out in a wooded setting, surrounded by spruce trees and wildflowers. We are minutes from downtown and have a free shuttle to all major Seward sights, so let us be your base camp for Seward and Kenai Fjords National Park!

The Lodge provides on-site housing for its employees who are 18 years of age or older, on a first-come first-served basis, with preference given to employees from out of town. Housing is a privilege, not a right. It is important that all employees respect the privacy of others. Each employee's consideration will ensure the comfort and safety of all. Rules and policies are in place to help ensure a quality, peaceful living experience for everyone.

Housing is available for up to 96 employees, and consists of 40 cabins for two, four trailers, and eight rooms with private bathrooms for managers/supervisors. The Lodge has a staff commons building that accommodates male and female bathrooms/showers, a laundry facility, kitchen area and sitting room with television. The employee housing area offers complimentary wireless internet so employees can use a personal laptop. The Lodge also provides bedding and towels. The kitchen area is equipped with fridges, stoves, and microwaves; however, employees provide their own cooking utensils.

Employees are required to sign a housing agreement if provided with company housing. Other housing options may be found in our local newspaper the "Seward Phoenix Log" or "The Seward City News."
