iOS Gaming Update 17 June 2011

Here is the latest batch of games to hit the iOS platforms.

Mower Ride is a hilarious high-speed racing game - entirely motion controlled, this turbocharged lawnmower takes players on a turf-churning thrill ride as it crashes through fences, speeds across perilous roads and swerves around the busy backyards collecting energy power-ups and trimming the shrubbery. Ramming rival riders into garden ornaments, outdoor furniture, water features, swimming pools and walls is the only way to keep on mowing and achieve the greatest garden-gouging distances. Mower Ride offers a side-splitting, high-octane racing game that puts the "agro" in "agriculture".

Players can send asynchronous challenges to their lead-footed friends, offering up a challenge to beat their mower-mounted distance, while an in-game Booster Store allows them to spend their hard-earned gardening gift to pimp out their power mower.

Mower Ride will be available for $0.99 / €0.79 / £0.59 on the App Store from 16th of June (please embargo until then) as an universal app for all iOS-enabled devices - iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

UK based Rubicon Development today releases Great Little War Game HD 1.4 for iPhone 4 and iPad users. Combining comedy with strategy in 3D, this turn-based game has players engaged in a war with amusing enemies, sounds and special effects. The gaming challenge is still very real with planned attacks and defenses necessary. Nearly one million players have downloaded the game app since its release. The 1.4 update is a major one, with tons of new features to enhance user experience even further.

Rubicon has incorporated a ton of new features in this major 1.4 version update. Some of the new features include: - a somber universe featuring a uniquely gloomy atmosphere, with troubled characters, and eerie music.

TITUS is available on the Apple App Store for an introductory price of $1,99 until June, 30th.

Turtle Fly has landed in the iTunes App Store for iPhone and iPod touch as another extremely fun title from j2sighte. You’re a turtle who can fly. Not with wings, but cola-powered jet-boosters attached to the turtle. Built specifically for Apple’s iOS devices, Turtle Fly offers an interesting storyline, fun visuals and easy touch controls. Upgrade the turtle with a stronger engine, boosters and other items to help him fly higher. There are 4 stories to be unlocked under certain requirements.

Come on people today is Father’s Day and you should buy your daddy something that he will actually use. A lawn mower would be great, but it won’t be enough. I guess nothing as most of them are the same.

This beauty has a blade tip speed of 16,000 ft per minute, and 1 bushel grass bagger capacity. We don’t know how much noise this thing does, but we know that it weighs 33 lbs without the battery, and 48 lbs with the battery.
